Information we collect

Purchases. Checkout is processed by our merchant of record, Creem Inc. (creem.io), who is the seller of record for all purchases and handles your payment details directly. We never see or store your card number or other payment credentials. After a successful purchase, Creem passes us your order details and email address so we can grant your account access to the course you bought.

Account sign-in. Signing in with Google is required to buy a course. We create an account for you through our authentication provider, Clerk (clerk.com), tied to the email address and OAuth identity your Google account provides. Course access is granted directly to that account — whenever you’re signed in, any course tied to your account’s email is unlocked automatically, with nothing else to enter or keep track of.

What we don’t collect. We do not currently run analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking scripts on this site. If that changes, we’ll update this policy before we do.

How we use your information

• To deliver the course content you’ve purchased and verify your account’s access
• To create and maintain your account when you sign in with Google
• To respond to support requests you send us
• To keep our records straight for accounting, tax, and legal purposes

How we share your information

We share information with a small number of service providers who help us run the site, and with no one else:

• Creem Inc. — our merchant of record, handles checkout, payment data, and is the legal seller for all purchases.
• Clerk — our authentication provider, handles Google sign-in and account/session management.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We may disclose information if required to by law, or to investigate fraud or abuse of our platform.

Data retention

We keep purchase records for as long as needed to support your course access and to satisfy our own accounting and tax obligations. If you sign in with Google, we keep your account information for as long as your account exists.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@finopscourse.com. We’ll respond as quickly as we reasonably can. Note that deleting account or purchase records we’re required to keep for tax or legal reasons may not be possible until the applicable retention period ends.

Children’s privacy

The FinOps Desk is intended for working professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we collect or use your information, we’ll update this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
